Wednesday Devo: "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." - Psalm 139:13-14
Newborn babies are simply spectacular. They are truly miracles from God, every one of them (James 1:17). It is amazing how intricate their bodies are and the process that took place to form them, knitted together by God, observable by science.
What evolution has trouble accounting for is the creation of information. "How is it possible that embryonic development does not entail a disorderly growth of cells, but is systematic and purposeful according to a set timetable? A precise plan, in which all stages are programmed in the finest detail, underlies all these processes. In this case also, information is the overall guiding factor." In the same line of thinking, how did the evolutionary algae at the beginning of time(big-bang) know HOW to form something greater, continuously, throughout time? Like having a hammer and nails but not knowing HOW to swing it. Amino acids struck by lightning does not produce information.
When God spoke everything into existence(Genesis 1,2), it came pre-loaded with information. For some excellent examples (spider webs, spinnerets, butterflies, robots, and human embryos) read more here: http://ow.ly/Oqb40
God's blueprints for us and this world are perfect, as made evident in our own human design, though sin corrupts our fallen world. We give thanks, honor and glory to him for this, and for everything. "Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them". (Psalm 139:16)
